  Went to the tasting counter and they had a sign stating that you need to ask the staff regarding the white and dark chocolate covered macadamias, we asked if we could try the white chocolate ones and a staff member came back with a box only to be told by another staff member that they couldnt hand them out, thought this was bit of a joke.

  Then went to the counter to purchase entry into the animal viewing area, waited 5 mins and no one appeared. had enough so we left. wont be going back, better off going to Alma park zoo

  Unless you have kids with you i wouldnt bother. Macadamias are super expensive and to be honest they are fairly average.

  The family and I stopped off in Bauple while exploring the Fraser Coast last year. We found the staff at Macadamia House to be very friendly and the service was great. We enjoyed a tasty bite - plus many a macadamia of course and the kids also enjoyed sitting on the Nutmobile - the old train, originally based at the Big Pineapple. There was no animal viewing area so I believe previous reviews may be mistaking the venue for a different place. This is a shame as the family that run Macadamia House are local farmers in the area and very passionate about what they do - they informed us that Bauple is actually the home of the original macadamia and in addition to that fun fact, provided us with a very enjoyable experience. Sadly, I believe that the local shop is now closed, however we still buy all our macadamia products from the Macadamia House online shop. They have a wide range of products and deliver straight to our door.
